Betty has become my signature colourway. She's so popular, and yet I still haven't tired of dyeing her a year after her creation. She's hard to describe, I feel like the only appropriate word would be "unique". I have since created many Betty-like colourways, but she still remains my favourite. She takes 2 days to fully dye, because of the amount of dye I have to use. So she really is a labour of love.
Whilst all my multiple skeins are dyed in batches, please be aware that the nature of this yarn means that each skein will vary. You definitely need to alternate skeins within a project if you purchase more than one.
If I don't have your weight or base listed, you can contact me and I can buy it in for you. I am not planning on ordering anything thicker than DK until after summer now, but I can get the occasional skein if you need it, so please do contact me.
Custom dyes can take up to 2 weeks to complete, especially if I need to source the yarn base. If you need something urgently, please contact me before purchasing and I will see what I can do. If you do not see the base you want, please let me know before purchasing this item, and I will try and get hold of it for you.
Buying one skein? Not problem, I have hand picked suitable 100g projects from Ravelry and pinned them to my Pinterest! Click here for knitting and here for crochet!
I offer free UK postage for orders over £60. And single skein purchases are automatically shipped large letter to save you money. I dye in a pet friendly home, with one cat and one dog. The animals have no contact with my work areas, but this is something to consider if you have a serious allergy. I do not dye mohair, but occasionally dye common allergen fibres such as alpaca and BFL, these are always stored separately to my standard merino bases.
All of my superwash yarn is machine washable (on a wool or delicate cycle). However, I recommend hand washing in 30° or below, with the appropriate soap. Block or hang dry to shape.
Non superwash yarns (anything without SW or superwash stated) are definitely hand wash only, in cool water. Wash with as little agitation as possible. Do not expose to sudden water temperature changes, as this can cause thermal shock. If you are unsure whether a yarn is superwash or not, please don't hesitate to ask me.
